The first working meeting of the Organizing Committee of the event, held at the Business Center of Tineo, opened yesterday the call for the twelfth edition of the Asturforesta international forestry fair, organized by the City Council of Tineo with the support of the Government of the Principality of Asturias and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, as well as business and professional organizations in the forestry sector. At this first meeting of the Organizing Committee, convened by the director of the fair, the councilor of the City Council of Tineo, Marcos Da Rocha, attended by the Deputy Director General of Forestry and Forestry of MAPA, the General Director of Forestry Policy of the Principality of Asturias and representatives of the Asturian Association of Wood and Furniture Forestry Businessmen (Asmadera); the Union of Forest Cooperatives of Asturias (Ucofa); the Business Association of Forestry and Environment of Asturias (Asymas); the Association of Forest Owners of Asturias (Profoas); the company TRAGSA; the official colleges of forestry technical engineers and forest engineers; the Chamber of Commerce of Oviedo and the Emergency Service of the Principality of Asturias. The Committee confirmed the celebration of the twelfth edition of Asturforesta between June 20 and 22 next year at Monte Armayán, in an area of ​​45 hectares dedicated to the exhibition and demonstration of machinery under real working conditions. At the meeting it was agreed to improve the conditions of the fairground, which will present a circular route and new spaces for the exhibition, which will be enhanced with a price bonus, as well as for the demonstration of equipment and machinery. Through various collaboration agreements with the entities that make up the organizing committee, and to which ASYMAS, TRAGSA and ASTUREX are incorporated, international promotion and Spanish Asturforesta professionals will be promoted through various presentation events that will be held throughout the year. first quarter of 2019. The first official presentation of the twelfth edition of Asturforesta will be in Paris before the partners of the worldwide network of Forestry Demonstration Fairs (FDF) on November 14 and 15.
